Parkour Boys - Azov Films DVD | azovfilms.com featuring rare coming of
age films from around the world, and videos featuring the Ukrainian Naturist
Lifestyle!
SYNOPSIS: Invented in France, Parkour, or l'art du déplacement,
is an activity where an individual moves from one point to another as quickly
and efficiently as possible using only the abilities of one's body.
Parkour is meant to help one overcome everyday obstacles in an emergency.
Whether it's jumping over rocks and tires to scaling ten foot walls with with no
ropes, springboards or safety equipment, these Parkour Boys will leave you
gasping in awe as you witness some amazing stunts.
EDITORIAL REVIEW:
Russians and Ukrainians are known for their athletic prowess. One only
needs to look back at past Olympics and calculate the vast number of medals won
for gymnastics and other events requiring great stamina and physical strength.
Even the developing bodies of these young Azov Films athletes can do some pretty
amazing Parkour movements. The literal translation of Parkour, or the
French "l'art du déplacement", is "the art of movement."
France's David Belle invented this awe inspiring sport (can it be called a sport?) and it has
become quite popular with Russian and Ukrainian youth (primarily boys).
The object of the sport is to get from point A to point B as fast as possible,
even if it means jumping over walls, cars, and even small trees. All this
must be done without the use of equipment. The point being, if you needed
to use Parkour in an emergency, nothing but your arms and legs would be
available to "save" you. In Parkour Boys, the Azov Films cameras drop in
to a close-knit Lugansk neighborhood and play witness to the stunts of Feodor,
Arsen, Kiril (aka Snupy), Kostya, and regulars Sasha, Zhenya and
Anton.
If you've purchased some other
Azov Films documentaries, you may have noticed in some of the interviews that
many of the Azov boys often talk of Parkour. Well now you can see them
perform Parkour. A little later on Sasha and Anton join newcomer
Kostya at
the sauna for nearly one hour of more outstanding athleticism - eating snacks
and drinking juice! Well, just enough junk food to give them some quick
energy for some splashing around. We have English subtitled pretty much
the entire film
so you can follow along with their intimate conversations and learn a little
about Parkour and the boys' personal lives.
As a bonus on this DVD, we've
also included a slide show of some promotional photos for the upcoming Boy
Fights XI: Going Commando.
