SYNOPSIS: Spend the day peering through the eyes of Sasha, Stas and Zhenya as they bring you on a tour of one of Ukraine's biggest Cossack festival and meeting of military families!  The boys take turns filming as they introduce you to various vendors selling their art - masterpieces created by the families of former USSR military personnel.  Play on a decommissioned tank before playing war in the trenches with the boys of Azov before their inevitable journey to the banya for an end to this great day!  Planned and filmed almost entirely by the boys themselves, it surely is A Boy Thing!

EDITORIAL REVIEW: A now for something a little different!  Filmed last Fall, Sasha, Stas and Zhenya are your hosts as they man the camera and bring you on a tour of an annual event where former USSR military families gather.  The smell of good food fills the air, the sound of traditional Russian and Ukrainian music blasts throughout, and the sight of men, women and children folk dancing in beautiful costumes tingle three of your senses as our Azov Boys try to bring you their perspective of this festival.  Former Communists and foes of the West, turned friends, look to put a little commerce in their pocket as they show off their works of art in the hopes of making a sale.  The boys play interviewer as they drop by a few tables and ask some questions of these recent Capitalists.  Of course, they're boys with a short attention span and the decommissioned tank sitting not too far away gets their attention.  They climb on board and even crawl inside to have a look around.  They do bring the camera in to give our audience a look as well (image that happening 25 years ago!?).  Inspired by the Cold War relic upon which they play, and the patriotic music playing in the background, the boys are still boys after all and breakout into an all out "war" with whatever imaginary enemy fills their sights.

A little later it's off to the naturist banya where Anton joins up with the three boys.  They set the camera aside in favor of junk food and skinny dipping and relaxing in the sauna where mindless boy chatter about nothing is always a must!  Another great Azov Film with four of your favorites.

Most of the first segment is shot entirely by the boys, and yes, they do some interviewing.  It's an approach similar to our Matter of History series except the boys pretty much do all the camera work, with the exception of a few cutaways to give you some context.  So the "unprofessional" look you may see is on purpose, but we've livened it up a bit!  They're kids, and, well, to coin a cliché, boys will be boys...so don't expect proper framing but do expect them to have a great time filming!  They teach us about naturism and their culture, and we teach them about camera work!
