EDITORIAL REVIEW:  Something lurks inside of Jake's closet, and it's just itching to get out.  It must be fed in order to survive, and it appears that the local wildlife, consisting mainly of rabbits and neighborhood cats, fall victim to this thing that "comes out of the closet" (no pun intended) only at certain times.  There's not really much more I can tell you about Jake's Closet without giving away some spoilers.  Young Anthony De Marco, although unsure of himself (acting wise) at times, overall his performance is stellar.  This is really a film for mature kids who can handle the scary scenes with a subtle political statement.  Fans of some of our spooky, weird movies like Fido or The Garden may enjoy this one.  It was enjoyable to watch, but not the best we have to offer.  The movie certainly made its point!
