SYNOPSIS: From the sun drenched beaches of Australia comes this sexy coming of age romance.  Cute teen Midget Hollow wanders through life riding big waves and partying with surfer boys.  When Midget's best friend's gay brother Cass arrives on the scene, the two quickly dive headfirst into a clandestine sea of sexual awakening.  As his lusty romance with the dark-eyed Adonis is soon discovered, Midget has to navigate between his friends' reaction and his new found love all while growing up during a hot summer of fun in the sun.

EDITORIAL REVIEW:  Tan Lines is the story of a group of teenaged surfers in Australia, specifically the exploits of Midget, a cute high schooler who's afraid to show his true feelings (publicly), and Cass, the brother of his best friend who has his own emotional issues.  After a brief absence, Cass comes back home for a few weeks to visit friends and family.  At that point we realize why Cass moved away.  His friends have several ideas of their own thanks to some rumors about an incident with Cass and his Geography teacher, Mr. McKinzie.  In order to prove he's not a fag, Cass sets off on a violent confrontation with his teacher, and at the same time garners interest from Midget.  Depending on who you're rooting for, the ending is a little disappointing...or quite good.

The main characters, Jack Baxter (Midget) and Daniel O'Leary (Cass) are probably the best actors out of the entire cast (they've all never acted professionally prior to this movie).  A nice little, low budget feature from "down under."  Think Whispering Moon meets a gay themed Kids.
