The Kite Runner - Zekeria Ebrahimi, Ahmad Khan Mahmoodzada - BLU-RAY |
moviebizz.com featuring rare coming of age films from around the world.
SYNOPSIS: As young boys, Amir and Hassan were inseparable
friends, until one faithful act tore them apart. Years later, Amir will embark
on a dangerous quest to right the wrongs of the past - and redeem himself in
ways he never expected - by displaying the ultimate in courage and dedication to
his friend.
EDITORIAL REVIEW: If I could give this
film 11 out of 10, I would. A remarkably brilliant piece of filmmaking
from director Mark Forster (Finding Neverland, James Bond 007: Quantum
of Solace) that may just leave you in tears. The casting of Young
Hassan, played by young Afghan
Ahmad
Khan Mahmoodzada, is perfect in every pathetic way (and you'll see why when
you watch this movie). Born and still living in war-torn Afghanistan,
Mahmoodzada is at ease in his role (including the uncomfortable rape
scene); a natural actor and he just breaks your heart. There is so much we
can say about this film, but I would rather you watch the movie and see just how
great it really is.
Here's what the Blu-ray edition
has to offer for bonus material:
° Commentary with Mark Forster,
Khaled Hosseini and David Benioff.
°
Words from The Kite Runner.

° Theatrical
